Our Team

  • Ellen Padva- CEO & President

A dedicated educator for over 20 years is the founder and president of Women Excelling in Leadership. A former special educator, she has demonstrated a passion for meeting the needs of all learners. Her teaching experience and academic study have provided her with a deep understanding of how all children, especially those with learning disabilities, learn. Using her passion and knowledge of learning and her understanding of how school’s function, she supports schools and the students they serve through a focus on instructional improvement for all student populations.. For the past 16 years, she has focused her attention on struggling schools through designing academically successful instructional programs, the delivery of professional learning needed to support both the students and the program, and the refocusing and securing of operational structures to alleviate all distractions in the academic program.

As the network leader of CFN 535 for the Center for Educational Innovation, CEI, she honed her skills of support through providing professional development, data interpretation and remediation, and whole school operational congruence. In her role as Director of Professional Services for Educators for Students Success, ESS, a company she helped found, she developed a love for conducting professional development for both teachers and administrators. Her prescription of the services schools and districts need to succeed, and her assigning of the best professional consultants to meet those needs, led to several state identified schools losing their low performing status. Her commitment to her schools, administrators, and districts has led to improved performance across the board. Utilizing her experience, all she has learned, and her commitment to creating a responsive learning environment for all children, Ellen Padva founded Women Excelling in Leadership.
